My Art at Sydney's ARTEXPRESS exhibit

Yesterday evening was the opening and 30th Anniversary of ARTEXPRESS 2013 at the Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney. 9,500 students submit artworks they've created over the course of a year for their HSC, and a number of students make it into a few other galleries in Sydney, however only 42 were chosen this year for the ARTEXPRESS exhibit.

And I'm proud to say, I'm in the exhibit! I can't even begin to start on what a huge honour it is to be chosen as exemplary out of the 9,500 other students and bodies of work. It was definitely one of my dreams to be in ArtExpress, and now it's a reality! Thank you to everyone who showed so much interest in my work, I met some really lovely people and it made my experience that much more fantastic.

I was so blown away by all the other works that got in, I honestly think this year's is the best I've seen so far. You can check out the other works >here< but be warned, the photos don't do the works justice! See them in real life, it's really an experience. Especially when you see one of the larger works looming over you, or looking at a piece with your face right up close  trying to see all of the detail. All of the works are visually and conceptually astounding.

I would highly recommend visiting the Exhibit if you're in Sydney some time, and the rest of the gallery is spectcular as well, so you won't regret it! The ArtExpress exhibit runs until the 14th of April, 2013.
